What that means
Most privacy policies are long because there is a great deal to disclose. This one is short because there is nothing to disclose. Glowtether is a single-player game that runs entirely on your device.
We do not collect, store, transmit, sell or share any information about you. There is no account system, no analytics library and no advertising library in the app, no server of ours for it to talk to, and no line of Glowtether's own code that opens a network connection. Like every app, it is built on a general-purpose game engine that is capable of networking; Glowtether simply never asks it to.

- No

What is stored on your device
The game keeps a small save file in its own storage so your progress survives closing the app. Glowtether never transmits it, syncs it, or sends it to us. It holds:
- Your records — best score, course completions and stars, daily history.
- Lifetime counters — lanterns lit, distance climbed, and the like, which is what unlocks fireflies.
- Your settings — sound, haptics and reduce motion.
One thing we do not control: iOS may include that save file in your device's own backups, whether to iCloud or to a computer. That is Apple's backup of your phone, not a copy we hold or can see — but it means the file may exist outside your device, and restoring a backup may bring your progress back with it. Apple's terms govern those backups, not ours.
To erase the copy on your device, delete the app. You do not need to ask us, and there would be nothing for us to act on if you did: we hold no copy of your game data, so there is no record of your play anywhere for us to find, hand over or delete.
Website and support
Two things sit outside the game itself, and it would be misleading to describe the app's silence without naming them.
- These pages are served by GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub receives ordinary request information — such as your IP address — when you load them. We receive no analytics from it and have added no tracking of our own.
- If you email support, we receive your email address and whatever you write, through Gmail, which Google operates. We use it only to answer you. We keep the correspondence while it is useful for that — no more than 12 months — and then delete it. Ask us at any time to delete your messages sooner and we will.
Neither is connected to the game: nothing you do in Glowtether is linked to an email you send us, because the game has no identifier to link it with.
Children
Glowtether is designed for an App Store age rating of 4+. Since it collects no personal data from anyone, it collects none from children either. There is no advertising and no in-app purchase.
Changes
If a future version of the game ever needed to collect anything — it has no plans to — this page would say so plainly, and the App Store privacy label would be updated before that version shipped.
